Just started community college!

So I just started community college over here and so far everything is going great except for the fact that NOBODY cares about the cars in the parking lot! I swear it's like people don't know how to drive! My first day was today and someone already dented my hood, nicked my rear bumper, hit my fenders with their doors, and scratched up my trunk! The worst thing is after I got out of class there were no cars parked around mine..

That is so pathetic! There is no way to say how mad I'd be, even if the car I parked there was a classic Peugeot 205 needing work! :gun

It honestly sucks but there is almost nothing I can do, I mean i have to go there to learn.

Park away from everyone. Unless your a guy like me no one will park out there if they don't have to. When i see a car sitting by itself in the lot I like to park next to it just to hassle the owner who put it out there.

WOW if someone hit my car and i found who it was I would take a basball bat and total their car.

yes, but that would never happen, its kinda impossible...

(ok that was a little out of line)

what i do is, find a nice car and park next to it, like a newer BMW or something and they care about their cars just as much as you care about yours

Numark318i 08-23-2007 09:02 PM

I think its a CA thing to not care about your car.

I go to SRJC...i have a few dings from the lot, not much i can do except keep my car clean and back it into a spot next to another nice car.

would you get in trouble if you take up 2 spots? I usually dont because I havent had a problem with anyone hitting my car at all.

MTurboPower3 08-24-2007 03:07 PM

I think you should park across 3 spots then no one would ever come close enough to hit you.

I parked right next to a median letting a good bit of space for the car that parks next to me, car's never gotten hit

I also do this whenever possible. Or just an end spot. At least your chances of it getting hit are reduced by half.

Just park at the very back of the parking lot next to a median. The extra 100 feet you gotta walk every day won't kill you, and it will save your paint.
