yea...dont plan on that. although i did do that with my second to last phone..it ended up in the toilet and washer..didnt last to long.

those times are over though.i now take car of my belongings.

well itll be in my hands friday. But i have used my friends phones. (they all work at the apple store..well like 4 people i know.) its pretty sweet. and my current phone sucks, i worked my ass off all summer...and its fun to use.

as for the $500 price tag, really its a luxury..its worth it if you have the extra cash sitting around. although, the google maps feature and the internet helps. no more need for 411. not using 411 saves me 30 a month..so really ima save 10 a month after paying the internet fee with At&t.

AFAIK unlocked may work but misses a lot of the main reasons to have one

dont think you can get an unlocked one. Think about it, only apple poduct you can get outside of the store/website is an ipod.

also when you get the phone you cant use it till you register it with At&t..so dont think you can get one thats unlocked. Dont think apples planning on it either
