back for the weekend.

back for the weekend, have some money to put into the pickup. going to have the radiator replaced, and finnishing my exhaust. my question is, would it sound better with the mufflers closer to the back, and closer to the front? the good news is, ill be able to keep the pickup.

witeshark 08-04-2007 07:47 PM

On the bottoms of most cars I've seen, the mufflers are near the back. Glad to hear you can keep it!

I still LOVE your Pickup!

Most trucks are about midway... I guess I would keep it like that...

RSF5 08-04-2007 08:37 PM

Yeah go midway or so, that's awesome you get to keep the truck!

craig 08-04-2007 08:43 PM

depends if you have a resonator/resonators at all

craig 08-04-2007 11:35 PM

hehehe. your funny. this thing lost its stock exhaust probably near the 80's. it has nothing on it but pipe at the moment.

Dudesky 08-05-2007 06:33 AM

You might consider the issue of carbon monoxide poisoning from the exhaust?

craig 08-05-2007 10:08 AM

what?

Dudesky 08-05-2007 10:19 AM

Exhaust is typically sent to the back of the car so the deadly gases don't creep into the passenger area.

denyo77 08-05-2007 04:14 PM

Craig, are you okay?:lol

craig 08-05-2007 05:05 PM

oh. well after the new exhaust gets put on it will go compleatly to the back. besides, i drive with my window down all the time. the last time i drove with it up, it was 20*

iv been thinking about it, and iv decided to sell. the reason is, i have a 40 mile trip to and from work every day. i would have to fill up every 3-4 days and thats without doing any other driving. + a 100 mile trip on weekends. its just not realistic. i have a buyer in town, told me to call him back but i cant find him. hes only giving me 1,500 for it so hes going to have to deal with the radiaror and the flowmasters are mine. its also going in a larg farmers magazine, im asking 2,200 in it. if someone wants it from their, i will fix the radiator, but the flowmasters are still mine. the reason? well. im buying a a 1995 chevy caprice that is an ex-cop car. it has the police package(obviously) which means it has the 5.7L LT1, the same engine used in the corvettes, camaros, and firebirds at the time.i test drove it ealier today. for a car weighing well over 4,000 pounds, it can move. my dad was with me so i wasnt able to get over 70 :( lol. its 26 MPG highway is a huge improvment over my 10 MPG highway. and i swear to god it looks like i could fit 10 poeple in the back seat. its huge. anyway, just thought i would update you guys before i take off again.
