Here is my 2 cents!

Ok everyone....

AS it's obvious, UB is going through some changes and I would like to enlighten you guys on what I know/think, a LOT is expect from UB, both in growth and traffic.

First things first, since we are expecting to see a growth in forum activity both posts wise and members wise, the need for a few extra new mods that we've seen came, some of them were internal (and a few more might be too). Some of them came from other places, but trust me, they all want what's best for this forum and will never try to hurt anyone's feelings or point of view on purpose (and if they do, please let me or someone else know and it will be handled in the appropriate manner). I ask for all of our older members to welcome all the new members/moderators with open arms, we've had some very cool new additions and I've actually had the chance to talk to a few of them one on one and they are pretty neat people. And keep one thing in mind, even though they are new to our forum, TRUST ME... This is not their first rodeo; some of the new mods have been doing this for WAY longer than Harry, Witeshark or my self.

I have strong faith in United Bimmer and that we are heading towards the right direction, this forum as a LOT of potential, we started it with a VERY strong foundation but we just didn't have the ability to take it to the next level. Now on the other hand our new administrators have that ability and they are willing to do what it takes to take our forum to the next level, they are BY FAR not new to the BMW forum seen and willing to share their wisdom with us on Bimmers.

Some very cool things are in the works, I know that at this point we are working on making it physically possible for this forum to take the growth, so I think we might expect a speed increase in the forum, some of the stuff that we never use have also been removed (again so we can increase speed).

And being that we are growing it will allow us to have the stuff that some of the bigger forums have had, Group buys, forum specific sales, you know all the good stuff this forum deserves is coming it's way. I think this new changes will put UB where it belongs, so all that I ask is, be patient some changes are immediate, some will take time. And I know that they we do some things might change a bit, but just because it's a change it doesn't mean it's bad

But just bare with us, I know everything will work for the best and if you have any comments, questions or concerns, please know that my door is always open!

+1 for Rooz, but I wish my name wasn't bold, it distracts me a lot.

no one was pushed or showed the way out, it was strictly by their choice. no one imposed anything on anyone from our end.
we created a sub forum, we never made it mandatory to like/participate/ignore/post, in fact we left the choice up to you as a group, on the other hand some of the senior members tried to impose their will on us via ultimatums, that is equal to threatning members with suspension if they dont post there thats absurd. that is not how things work.

mods as well as members were welcomed to voice an opinion or share their thoughts, when it turned into disrespectful dialog and personal attacks i stepped in, that type of behavior will not be tolerated around here any longer, if you feel you have to resort to personal attacks and bashing in your posts its best you don't post at all.

we are trying to make this pleasant for everyone not just a select vocal few.

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.
