But yeah guys, if you see something you don't like, just send a mod a pm and say, hey I don't like how we do XYZ, and I think that ABC would work....

Instead of well.... XYZ is crap, change it!....

am I making sense ?

This I have to disagree with. We're a small community with relatively few active posters, and as such we have a unique opportunity to be well informed and be a part of such propositions, not afforded by other boards who have already grown to be somewhat impersonal in nature. We know that plans often don't come to fruition, that's just part of reality. Barring trade secrets or confidentiality issues of course, and there are things you won't want to let out only to become a target of inexperienced input or criticism; not everyone knows what's best for the common good. Aside from those things, we just wanna be kept in the loop, at least to some reasonable degree. If we're on the verge of greatness, then we'd like to say "we were there" instead of "it happened to us".

Here's a small thing, but it annoys the sh** out of me. Those fly by night posters who reply in threads and post a spam link in their text. Witeshark has been doing a pretty good job of housecleaning, but I notice he has to do it manually each time. How do other boards handle thing type of thing?

Another item . . we used to have a link exchange program with 'werkz. Is it possible to try that with other sites to generate traffic?

And where are the damn questions?? A couple hundred semi-active members and everyone's car is running well??

you missed "at this time" part, as of now we have nothing to say for various reasons, over time we will seek advice and input in private and/or in public, be patient nothing is eminent at this time.

spam is not a hugh concern at this time, security and functionality of the site is, we are addressing matters in priority order.
we may lose some features as updates occur and some add ons may not be compatible with the latest version of the forum software. if you notice any type of spam please report it, we will zap them on sight.

we will be implementing a banner and ad exchange to generate more traffic to the site, we do have to get and be ready for it first.
i think the priority now should be getting the ones who are already here to post and participate, for some odd reason only one of ~8 new members post, and only 1 in 20 members are actually active, both statistics being equally sad.
getting the present membership more active will be a step in the right direction and a great starting point.

Just a few misunderstandings, "growing pains", if you will. Read the other threads for a recap, nothing has been deleted.

Daniel (drz) is not gone. He'll be gone for a while, but not forever.

And Cap, thanks!
