I'm back... and with questions.

Hey, sorry for my long leave everyone. School was really busy with schoolwork and crew. But I've settled into the summer time and my new job.

Now I'm looking at getting a motorcycle for the nice summer months, and I want to start with a 600cc crotch rocket, something older from like the 90's. My question is, how long do these motors typically run for? are they as well behaved as BMW's if taken car of? How many miles are a lot of miles for a bike?

Welcome back. I'm no expert, but what I do know is that they are not as quite as milage durable as cars in general, and need more frequent valve adjustments.

would 20k+ miles be a lot for a early to mid nineties bike?

I see no reason to think of that as higher than it should be

you want a really well looked after machine preferably four stroke that has been well maintained, probably japanese eg; honda or similar in pristine condition as this usually indicates a cherished ride.

90's? Honda CBR 600F2 hands down The Yamaha FZR's were faster in a straight line, but didn't handle as well.

go for the CBRs, they are generally unproblematic, and they are great bikes, too. As for the milage: 20000 is still okay, but I wouldn't take the ones above 40000, because then there's more risks of damages or engine problems

yeah, that's what I'm looking at is the 600f2. I've even been able to find a few F3's for a decent price.

Any of the Jap bikes will be fine. If you got the FZR600, the exhaust flaps burn out. The CBR600R is a weapon.
