craig, i just have to say that these bimmers that your are choosing are fairly price intensive.

of course a 2002tii would be kick ass, but i wouldnt do it unless i had some loot, and i wouldnt make it a daily driver.

just MHO.

Just get something you can rely on that won't cost much to keep up. Get a Civic or an Accord that has been well maintained. No, really.

Get a VW, an old mk2 GTI would be sick, just watch out for rust on them.

Unless he got a 2.0 16v I wouldnt say that the 2.8 VR6's are more reliable. The actual motor I mean, and seems like they eat axles. I know a bunch of vw owners now that I own a golf myself. A golf could be alright too Craig I havent spent much on mine at all, and its great on gas. I have spent like 2k total (including purchase price) and I have a short shifter, exhaust, k&n filter, fog lights, and some other stuff, all brand new except for the fogs.

What kinda engine is that?

It seems quite a good deal, especially considering used-car prices are higher in the states than here in Germany, and even for Germany this might be a good deal...
