well good luck...ive been the USMC for the past 3 and half years shooting at first howitzers cannons, but recently changed over to rockets. Ive done one MEU on a amphibious NAVY ship, which was well alright I guess. THen recently a 7 month hump in Iraq, but now im looking foward to getting out, but just because i dont like it, doesnt mean you will nnot like it. Anyways good luck

Personally, I would do something that is transferrable to the private sector upon completion of enlistment. You may make a career in the NAVY, or you may not. Cover your bases. Anything grunt related limits your post enlistment options. A degree would help neautralize that, though. But, I'm sure whatever choice you decide will work for you. It's really a personal choice.
