might have to sell.

well... looks like i might have to sell the pickup. i just cant handle 3-4 MPG in town. most of my pay check goes right down the tank. iv already found a car. a 90's olds Aurora. v8. i was told it will do about 25MPG in town. now, i dont know if thats true or not but oh well. wants 3K for it. dont know if ill get it or not tho. depends if i find anything els. guy said he put about 1500 into it, all of which is in the sound system.

if i do get it, its getting straight pipes.

Craig!! Seriously! That sucks man, there's no way you can hold onto the truck as your project and get another ride for your daily? A pickup is SOOOO handy (not to mention fun), and it could be one hell of a show piece given the time and effort.
Sorry to hear you may have to get rid of it.

If you are getting 3 to 4 mpg in town then either your truck has a serious problem or you have not figured out that the long skinny pedal on the right is an infinite speed control. Not an On-Off switch.

And the Aurora may get 25 on the road on cruise control but certainly not in town.

What mileage did you get from the Geo when you had it?

e30 318is, you can have one for less then 1.5k and you will get 25-30mpg easily. I speed everyday going to and from work (and part is city driving) and still 25mpg is the worst that I get.

Get the e30 already.

no, i dont drive like that all the time. just weekends usualy. i think my carb is fucked up or something. no idea what my geo got, never took the time to figure it up. it did pretty darn good tho. driving it was just about as fun as playing with a sack of potatos.

as for the e30, i have been looking for one ever since i got my licens. but they are nearly impossable to find in western kansas. the only bmws i have EVER seen here is ones that are just passing through town. the closest BMW iv seen for sale is in whitchita, and all e46s. and considering my parents arnt willing to travel, its probably not going to happen.

i might not be selling it anyway. all of its "old age" symptoms mysteriously cleard up today. drives like a dream. cause the reason i wanted to get rid of it was my brakes didnt work(at all) and had to rely on downshifting and shutting it off to slowdonw/stop. rear end shook when accelorating, and the highway problem came back. beat on it a little today, and it all cleard up. pretty strange. see what happens tomarrow.
