Each one is a different gator. There were others, too!!!

Oh yeah I've seen those golfing in FL

You should have rushed one with you club

stevo 06-03-2007 03:36 PM

:wtf on a golf course???
I didn't realise golfing was a dangerous sport.........
I think i will take up hang gliding its safer:laugh

We have a mini-golf place here called the Gator Golf. However, they don't have any actual gators ftl :(

CAPiTUL 06-03-2007 04:45 PM

For some reason, all I could think about was Happy Gilmore. lolOL

c1apton 06-03-2007 04:49 PM

some of the courses in Fl have phones on the tees so you can call the clubhouse if a gator is on the course and they chase it off with a 10ft cattle prod. "On the quietest of days you can hear turtle shells cracking from the gators eating them."

I was unaware of the Clapton. That's kind of crazy. lol.

In Arizona it was rattle snakes in the rough.

If you missed those then the ant nests were waiting for you while you looked for you ball.

CAPiTUL 06-04-2007 01:06 PM

Snakes would suck.
There were some ant nests there, though. And wasps, too.

c1apton 06-04-2007 06:55 PM

depending where you play golf in FL., there are snakes in most of the roughs too. Take the stroke & a drop.

CAPiTUL 06-04-2007 07:19 PM

I could believe that, with FL and snakes. Fortunately, I haven't encountered any yet.

MTurboPower3 06-04-2007 07:22 PM

God, If I ever take up golfing I'm never going to Arizona or Florida.

Arizona is a tough place to play period. They don't have fairways on the regular courses they have "landing areas". Basically it's green patches scattered around the desert and you play from patch to patch.
"The Point" is the perfect example.

c1apton 06-06-2007 04:50 AM

for all the golfers amongst us, have you ever played "west point" golf? (a friend graduated from west point and shared this w/me)

West Point Rules:
you get - 1 kick, 2 throws, and the pencil NEVER writes over 7. Mulligans - 1 per hole
and if you open a beer as you tee off and you finish it before landing the green, you get to subtract 1.

(please note beer rule limited to 1 per hole)
