In glancing through the database I'm seeing a lot of people who are voting 1's for cars that honestly deserve better.
I'm thinking to keep people more honest with their votes, maybe we should change the My Stats page to, in addition to the number of votes for each rating, also list which members voted for each ranking.
For example under the 4 rating, it'd list all members who gave your car a 4. This will keep people from rating everyone a 1 except themselves, and will be more benifical to people for self-improvement. For example "Hey man, I gave your car a 7 rather than an 8 because I think the sideskirts of your car need to be painted." Suggestions like that would act as more constructive criticism and keep people more honest with their votes (not selfish).
This will ensure cars which DESERVE to be at the top are, and jealous people don't bring them down.
If you guys like this system and we decide to go through with it, I'll give everyone a day or two warning so anyone who did vote people 1's who really didn't deserve it, have time to go back and modify their vote to a more fair rating.

I agree, have the users name appear next to the vote. It will discourage people from voting 1, or a low score.
Question though: If when going through the pictures, a car you voted on earlier appears, if you skip it bc you realize you already voted on it, does your original vote change?

Nope, if you skip it, it retains your previous vote.

This is the reasom comments were discontinued in the DSMTuners gallery. Too many immature people that are only in it for their own rating and to stand above others.

I also coded a nice little ban system into Rate My Car for that exact reason.
excellent idea.. is there a way to track who we voted for or not?
Nope, only if you vote again and it tells you what your old vote was that was changed.
Or do you think this is necessary, because it might discourage some people from voting if it's not anonymous. Maybe I could just post a list of every "1", "2", and "3" vote in the system and who voted it for who's car....
