bed, or no bed?
ok ok ok.... i have been searching for a bed for my pickup for a while and finaly found one(iv had three people on a pickupbed search for me. haha.)
its on a 70's f250 3/4 ton(same as mine). but the question is, should i put the bed on, or keep my flatbed? if i get the bed, my pickup will go into paint in a month or two and will be alot more expencive then keeping the flatbed, but will make it worth alot more, and would look kick ass. but then again, my dad said i could sell the flatbed for 800 easy to a farmer, so that would cover alot of the costs. wht do you think?

i voted for bed, but the flat bed does have SOME benefits.

very true. i could take a sledge hammer to it all day and it wouldnt dent. at all. its a bit heavier then the original bed(altho there isnt much to it, the metal is super thick diamond plate) so theres more traction in mud.
but the down side is, i cant put anything back there unless i tie it down, otherwise it would blow away. for example, i had a FULL bottle of power steering fluid on the back when bought it. when i got home, it wasnt there. haha. the only time it has been actualy usefull is once at work. i pulled an auger half a block. weighs close to 300 pounds, with someone holding the motor down on the bed, and someone holding the back of it up(it was hanging off the bed about 4-5 feet). if i had an actual bed doing that, the paint would have been destroyed.
What do you mean? My roommate goes off-roading in the woods all the time and he covered his truck in rhino liner. Keeps him from having paint to scratch.
