^you got rid of the Dinan right?

theSMELSINATOR 04-29-2007 09:06 PM

that's just messed up. the dealer "lost" the car. what!?

out of all the things you can do to a man, messing with his car is one of the worst.

TerryY 04-29-2007 09:56 PM

The near border city's are special places when your car is stolen.

When the car can be in Mexico within an hour and police response is more than an hour................Adios my car, it was nice knowing you:wave

Tucson is probably worse than San Diego for car theft and carjacking.
One of the kids had a shotgun pointed at them by a guy on a bicycle during the late evening hours. She figured that she would rather just be shot than raped and then shot and ran the red light to get away.

They station cops on the mall roofs at Christmas times to watch for carjacks in the parking lots. Think I will stay up here.

I think the OP is full of shit. Too many convenient excuses on his end on why this issue isn't resolved.

And anyone who can afford a Mint condition M5, would have the common sense to not walk into a meeting with manager, insurance rep AND most definitely a high priced lawyer without bringing some legal fire power of his own. Besides, as one poster said, its a clear cut case:
Quote:

4) This is a clear cut case. They took ownership, they took your keys, The object of contention was on their property when it was stolen, and they are legally bound to either return your vehicle to you upon completion of contracted work (thats the work order you sign when you drop off the car), or must provide just compensation for said object of contention that was not returned to owner upon completion of said contracted work. Them leaving the keys in the car, is negligence on their part. Those papers you sign when you pick up your car from the dealership, yeah, thats you legally taking delivery on your car AND the work that was done on it. .... It absolutely astounds me that people have such little comprehension of the legal activities they take part in on a daily basis.

I was shocked at hearing this. :eek

Annnd, as I went to work today, guess what was sitting on our lot? Uh huh, a silver e39 M5.

Buut, it was an 2002. So no worries.

But yeah, that dealership is screwed. They are going to cough up whatever it takes to make this guy happy. If I were him, I'd shoot for the moon. Fully loaded M6 Convertible please! :D

M6 is fugly.
M6 Convertible is fuglier.

Even if he got teh vert M6 just to sell it to get an M5, with as much as this cars devaluate right after you drive them off the lot, who knows if he'd be able to buy a fully loaded M5. Especially after having to pay taxes. etc.

Quick updated. I got a hold of that guys VIN number for the allegedly stolen car. Carfax turned this up

It's had four owners, and has never been reported stolen, and was serviced about a week and a half before the original thread was started.

I posed as a retired cop posting on that thread as "DARKDARK" and called him on his shit. HE PM'ed me and asked me why I ruined all the fun. It was a hoax, as suspected. I did tear into him pretty heavily on page 11 of that thread though. Could be a good read if you're bored.

Now it makes more sense :type

elsabor67 05-01-2007 07:15 AM

DAMN!!!!!:shifty :shifty

I read the last page where you blasted him out of the water, and for people still continue to defend him in some sort of way..............

He should be banned from any forum for yanking on people's chains like that. That's wrong:crazy :crazy

I hate it when these hoaxes happen. It sounded so real too. :uhoh

Ummm drz, whatever floats your boat. Obviously, it isn't coupes or convertibles. How can you like the M5, when it has the same engine as the M6. Oh wait, you don't like coupes or convertibles. So I guess that solves that problem. I just thought that he could get the most expensive car that BMW has, and that would be the M6. Right. And seeing how coupes are alot faster than sedans, but apparently that doesn't appeal to you either. Good try, maybe next time.

And, you probably haven't driven a M6 coupe or convertible, so you wouldn't know what its actually like. Let me tell you, it's a very nice, smooth, powerful ride. Like the 650i, but more power and sportier seats.

i'm pretty sure he was talking about the looks, and i agree with him. two thing i really hate about it: the front and the back. lat leaves...well, not much. despite whats under the hood of an M6, i would ask for one of the new M3s once they got out. but anyway, that's off topic.

that dude is messed up for doin that. not even funny. let's just lie to the world for no reason, why don't we? :dunno hey, it could be fun.
