Spun out on a divided highway, hehe whoops...

So I took the subwoofer box and subs out of my trunk along with my amp and cap. and went to bed.

The next morning its wet out and I'm driving. I come up to a left hand turn from one divided highway onto another (I've driven this turn 1000 times, its right near my parents house). So anywho I decide since it was very light traffic and no traffic in the turn or crossing the intersection to have a little fun. I go through the turn at a reasonable speed, I wasn't trying to go fast or anything I just wanted to slid a little bit. I tap the gas and the back end FLYS loose :eek it caught me off guard and almost get sideways before swinging back around. I'm thinking "DON'T HIT THE CURB DON'T HIT THE CURB" so I pull the wheel around and slide the back end onto the curbless grassy median. There was no one turning besides me so no one was in any danger it was just a line of stopped cars watching this idiot spin out.

Boy was my face red.:doh I've done that before but I really didn't account for the traction difference with out the sub weight. :ranting

Anyway no damage just a little dirt I cleaned off later

Heheh... whoops...:drive2

I think it would be better to not take any risks if you plan to sell your car instead of wrecking it man.

But yeah sounds like it was a close one

Sounds like you needed a bit more momentum before the turn :lol

heh no good.

did the simliar but almost hit a garden of flowers in the median.

Rain drifts FTW

I just completely forgot about the weight difference in the back (subs weight a lot) and it caught me off guard. And this happened a while ago like July I was just posting something for fun.

I have subs in my car, so if I take them out, i'll probably drive crazy on some backroads, dont reallydo it now because they aren't screwed down, but they dont move much as it is

Ha, I used to do that in my Saturn back in the day. Course, that was a piece of shit... good for off-roading though.

haha yeah, you never stop to think about how much weight a set of subs and an amp really weigh, do you? Makes a bit of difference, especially at speed.

i'm certainly lighter on the gas pedal before a turn now
