My favorite part about the whole thing was from the first press conference, when the guy from the FBI said that the building (my building, btw - Civil Engineering) had many labs in it, so they didn't know if many substances were harmless or a terrorist threat. For everyone's information, the main lab in Civil Engineering is a materials testing lab where they torsion/compression/tension test concrete, carbon fiber, steel and other building materials. I can just see Homeland Security wandering through the 4 story lab area looking at cement (the "glue" used in concrete) or carbon fiber re-barb like it was a WMD. Geez.
Yeah, but anyway, turns out the white substance was in fact powdered sugar. No class for powdered sugar? Happy "bomb day"!
