Hmm, your still here, are you saying I should try harder?
i kid i kid
I was a little cranky at the time. From day 1 I have wanted UB.c to flourish, that is why I stick around, but sometimes I am discouraged by our lack of growth/retention I am committed, so I come back, but sometimes I have more fun elsewhere.
We need to find some more I feel like our numbers are dwindling.

Shit, I'll say it. The place got really quiet once Harry and his crew lost interest. Or so it seems, to me at least. Lotta hoopla over UB.c in the beginning, but after a while, they all went back to 'werkz. And that's cool. Me? I began life at Automotive Forums, until someone spammed them and broke the news about this new place called UnitedBimmer. And I've been here ever since. Once in a while, I'm over at 'fest, but this is my home, and so it shall remain. Those of you who hang out at 'werkz know I only post in their E36 section, if ever. That's because I really don't feel at home in their lounge, even tho I know a bunch of folks there.
I'm only member #306 here, and there are plenty other older veterans before me. Not many have stuck around, but I'm thankful for those who have, and just as thankful for the others who've come afterwards. 2yrs ago, I didn't know anyone in Kansas, Mass., Missouri, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Washington, N. Carolina, Oregon, Cali, or upstate NY. But now I do . . shit, I even know someone in New Zealand, a couple of guys in Brunei, and a couple others in Canada.
What I'm saying is fuck that. There may not be a lot of talk here these days, but the company is still cool. Who knows how long this place will last, maybe not much longer. Or maybe it'll experience a resurgence and get back on track. But one thing's fo' sure- I'm pulling up a chair, and my shit is here

Dsky I agree, I found ub.c a couple years ago looking for more e30 318is info and found hamman 318is here and joined up and have been here ever since, it is truly one of the best forums I have found and everyone here is top notch. Might be time for those of us who are still here to start doing some more spreading of the word about ub.c and make it live.
D'ski - I tend to agree with you - I've been into other forums and alot of them seem like free for alls. People spouting out, throwing out ideas or fixes to problems (many I question the validity) I like the tightness of UB - but I also accept "attrition" - it's like car clubs, bike groups, etc... there is always comers & go'ers. It's like anything else, change is always a constant. I highly doubt UB is dieing off if anything it's evolving. We've had an influx of new members recently - some stay some will go. People do have lifestyle changes, economic, whatever but who says they're not reading the forums? I've seen some members names in the "who's online" but they don't comment because alot of the questions have been asked numerous times before. Just look at the member count - I'm #711 and I haven't been here 2 years and who knows my situation may change - so for now I'm here and I like it.
