I need a good deal on travel to Boston

Hey guys,

I have a distant cousin flying to the USA from Hungary. He's coming to see his father for his 80th birthday. His dad lives in Boston, MA. He's flying into JFK, New York.

I've been asked to find a route, cheapest of course, to get from JFK Airport to Boston via Bus/Train/Plane/Car.

Recommendations?

Thanks,
Dough

Bus will usually be your cheapest option. Greyhound is probably somewhere around $35 each way, but you gotta get your cousin from JFK to Port Authority bus station in Manhattan. Taxis into Manhattan will run you about $50. Alternatively, you can take the AirTrain out of JFK to connecting MTA subways that go into Manhattan. IIRC the AirTrain is $5 and the subway is $2.

http://www.fungwahbus.com/ticket/ its 15$ (everyday i believe). busses leave every hour from canal st bus depot . so all he has to do is get from JFK to the buss depot and then south station in boston to where ever his father is VIA the MBTA.
