great... another "new car" thread.

well.. i now have some money saved up for a new car, but the question is, what car? here are my curent options(in my price range):

1984 S10 V8(350) with nitrous, $2,000

lowerd 1962 VW bug, slightly over what i already have saved and is quite a ways away, so probably shouldnt even be an option but i fuckin love it.

and last but not least, a 1972 baja bug $1,300. this one is the cheapest and the closest, but also needs a little work and a paint job.

so.. what do you think?

well here the problems with the second one: its about 1,000 over my price range. it would get destroid by the ice here(ever seen an ice pot hole? they are sharp and not nice) and i would have to go over the colorado mountains to get it. but its an awesome looking car...

If I were you, I would just get a cheapo Honda or somethign taht wouldn't need much fixing. But of the three choices, I like the Baja the best.

I think that by "second bug," Rooz meant the Baja.

doh... my bad. haha.

but the only thing that needs "fixing" on that baja is the floor pans, which is just a $75 thing plus welding which i can do myself, gotta love shop class. haha. 95% of all un-restored bugs have this problem. its a very commen thing.

I would say the baja...although the first bug does look f'in sweet..I can't wait to restore my moms 69 it doesn't even need that much work..just the time but yeah I think the baja because I don't like that truck..and the other bug wouldn't really work..

BAJA or the truck. i dont imagine Tribune Kansas is good roads for a lowered car.

also. unless there something special in the lowered one, the other two ( S10 and Baja) will be faster. not to mention the functionality of a truck ( despite its only an s10) or the cool ness of the baja
