Jesus...Over Priced items

So i went to hungary for vacation this winter break. while i was there i realized everything is twice as much if not triple the price of here, yet people make a quarter of what we make.

for example a 80 gig ipod is $700 after converting currency. This goes for almost everything. Except basic food and boose(very cheap..half liter of stella for 60 cents)

so..just thought i would throw that out there.

also Im sure none of you have heard about the riots that took place in Hungary against the prime minster...october 23 people rioted against the prime minister, who addmited to lieing to the people.

he also claims a women is only 92 percent of a person. and the 3 million citizens of hungary must leve the country because it is over populated.

Sometimes we forget how good we have it in this coutry. atleast i did.

Yo fellow countryman...

Don't forget that Magyarorszag is becoming apart of Euro Europe, as a result, massive inflation will come, same as it did in Germany.

My father goes back home whenever he can, and every time he comes back, it's always FUCKING BUSH/MONEY. Spouting about the conversion rates being insaine, even away from Ferihegy.

Could just be a few years before things become balanced. Oh, and speaking about wages, an engineer here starts out around $50k/yr, there, an experienced engineer makes half that. My cousin is in the medical field, he works as a paramedic in Budapest while going through med school, he told us that a doctor works ~80 hrs/ week, earns NOTHING compared to what a doctor here makes, but that could be because of the Social Democratic government, but anyway.

I also heard about the riots, but seeing how the US press just doeesn't care about such things, I didn't get any other news about it.

Dough

agreed with you. i noticed austria was very overpriced also. and yes hungary is the way it is because of the type of government, and the prices are that way partly because of the government and that they are joining the union.

Just...when u actually realize how much(which you have) more things are its crazy.

Yeah, you guys get a lot of things much cheaper than th rest of the world because your market is so large, and the demand drives prices down. Appreciating what one has wise is. (sorry I went all Yoda on you guys)
