Cold chisel on RTA bushing!!!
Took the car to the steeler thinking they would do a proper job...
they admitted they did not have the right tool to pull the bushing out so used a cold chisel!!:jawdrop
how much damage could have been done and to what?:ranting
Probably none, unless they stressed out the control arm bushings but that's doubtful. The trailing arm is pretty bulletproof. I'm surprised they actually got it out that cleanly. I wouldn't sweat it. FYI: not all BMW dealerships are authorized service centers with factory trained technicians.
I think they are the authorised service center but their chief mechanic recently emigrated to New Zealand so I am not sure how well trained the other gang are. I did print out your article on replacing the rtab for them to follow and I think they got over inspired by your getto mode...
Need to replace the tie rods and will take it to another garage this time.
^^^:lmao That's a first . . you sure they were inspired, or were they laughing their asses of at how I did the job :lol
