Ack. I missed this thread too.
I have H&R sports on my 03' 325i .. it lowered it a decent amount though the front could stand another 3/8ths an inch. The ride is much stiffer as well. If I got shocks it'd smooth out a bit but it's more of a bouncy stiff, you can feel the bumps. I like the styling aspect and don't mind the decreased comfort level.

well i've got H&R race springs headed my way in the mail so it's good to hear possitive comments about them! But do different shocks change ride height? i thought that was only changed from different springs? someone please correct me!

i think it is mostly the springs that change ride height but sport shocks will be shorter than regular ones.
The springs are shorter when uncompressed. When you compress both the stock springs and the H&R springs to put onto the strut it would be the same length of the strut.

well i went for the race setup and i'm loving it! only problem is i need wheels with a higher offset. anyone wanna buy these wheels? pics don't do justice
