UUC sachs suspension

well I just ordered the suspension mostly because my struts are blown now, and well I wanted better suspension anyway. I'll give a review of it once I put it on. Should be nice now that I got new control arms, bushings, and tie-rods on last week. I got the install kit that comes with reinforced shock towers and e46 m3 RSM's, or something..

PS: it's the same setup JrHaile has.

yeah after it settles for a few days i'll take some pics, and let you all know how it is. I'd better not forget the alignment, guess I would notice a large difference?

It's pretty much a replacement stock setup. Doubt it will handle much better than new stock units.

oh ok, I didn't really want to go any lower than an inch and a half because Delaware roads suck, way too many potholes and speed bumps

Ah, VTEC. All of the lag, none of the turbo. It's like waiting for bad sex

it said around 1.2 - 1.4" not too much I guess, but I wanted it more for daily driving especially with the potholes around here, and some looks, I doubt I would track my car anyway.

a 1.5" drop with performance springs/shocks is far from a stock setup. JR had this set up put on his 328 and he said the difference was incredible.

I think the H&R's lower it right around as much as teh Sachs, maybe a little more. if anything, it's about .5"

I've seen other reviews and it certainly isn't a performance orientated product. You can lower the car as much as you want but it doesn't mean it's performance.

more from what I saw, but I didn't want that because DE roads suck, and I would lose my bumper easily. If DE roads were better I would have got a H & R cup kit or something, that lowers it like half an inch more.

H&R Sport is a pretty nice drop. It won't remove the extra fender space, but it will lessen it.

put it like this a H & R cup kit lowers the car supposedly 2.1" 1.7" thats why I got the Sachs setup because it lowers the car slightly less.

Wait... I'm confused. So reducing your center of gravity and lowering your car doesn't improve performance? That is the basic principal behind dropping your car. Lower center of gravity = better control.

Just dropping your car will not turn it into a "cornering machine." No spring or suspension setup will acomplish this but rather a group of items: sway bars, strut bars, xbrace, tires (the most important), etc. Having owned the Sachs for a while and having rode/driven other E36s with H&R, I much rather prefer my cars' ride and handling abilites compared to the others.

It will be on my car on Wednesday, pics then if anyone is interested? I'll wait a day or 2 for it to settle, or just take before pics, right after install, then settled?
