Camber correction?
This past summer after I had my car lowered I took it to a shop in Cincinnati (Performance Alignment) for a four wheel alignment. This is a very reputable shop that comes highly recommended from my tech.
The shop did the alignment and afterwards suggested that I get front and rear camber correction kits because they could not get the camber and toe adjusted exactly right. I was going to get camber kits this summer when I get my new shocks (they cost 530 for front and rear) but, I haven't seen anyone on either UB.c or BF.c that has them. So here is my question... Do you think the kits will be necessary w/ just H&R sports, Bilstein sports, and wider tires? Every thing points to no, except these damn professionals! :wtf Thanks in advance for the help, Matt |
Any update?

... his fault for pulling a delmarco and cross posting it on multiple boards. at least he didn't make multiple threads on the same forum with !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the end about it.

So is there a need for these camber correction kits?
|
Yes, when you're planning to track the car and want to dial in extra camber. Other than that, not really. You might need one if you drop the car too much to fix it back to BMW spec, though.

They weren't removed because they were never here to begin with. The replies were on bimmerforums.

I have camber correction plates on my M3, running H&R Race springs.
|
my wifes last vehicle had camber corection plates, a mini van. But she was in a bad accident with it, and the repair shops couldnt get the toe in set properly. So there was a nesecity in that case.
For that vehicle, the only difference between it and the original plate that went on top of the strut tower, was the bolt holes were now slots, so they could be manipulated into the corect position. |
You should pull out those H&R race springs and put on a full coilover kit...

I wouldn't adjust it very often, and the stiffness and control is perfect for my tastes as it is. |
