Shimmy on 95 325c
Hi Guys, new to this but here it goes.
I have a 95 325 convertable that has a bad shimmy when I go over 45 mph. The steering wheel shakes badly and car itself follows. Now with that being said: I have tried 2 sets of wheels (original BMW and aftermarket BMW) I have had them balanced at least twice on state-of-art equipment (have access to that at work). I have had it aligned at least twice and also replaced lower rear control arm bushings (which made the shimmy worse). Front end is tight (according to 2 mechanics) with no apparent parts bad or loose. We even lifted rear end with jacks and ran car up to 60 mph and no shake or shimmy... has to be front end issue. Any input would be appreciated.
