fat sway bars... who has them?
i'm thinking of getting some fatter sways for the e30. anyone got them? how much of an impact did it make and what was the effect? better turn in? any under/over steer?
|
If you just upgrade rear sways, there will be more oversteer.
If you just upgrade front sways, there will be more understeer. You might want to look at upgrading with factory goodies. For your car, they have the front E30 Cabrio bar (22mm) and the E30 M3 rear bar (14.5mm). However, I'd just upgrade the rear bar and see how you like that, because installing both might offset your handling dynamics and give you more understeer. |

they sell the Ireland Engineering sway bars. they are 25mm in the front, and 22mm in the rear, and they are freaking awesome, and you really really feel the difference. Ive heard only good things about them, and they are like 425$ for the set i believe, and it comes with all the parts(ofcourse) |
away bars in general are the best suspension upgrade that u can do...

you can find a pretty good deal at turnermotorsport.com
they have a set for $309 that includes a 22mm front and a 19mm rear. |
I just posted in another topic about this.

cheers guys i'll look into it. i'm probably going to look for something locally. shipping anything to australia is expensive so i'll get a few ideas of what works well and go from there.

Cheers indeed after looking at your newly updated mod list it has become apparent that sways would be the next obvious choice. Good Luck!
