Your Ride: 1992 525i
advice installing front struts on a '92 525i
I would really appreciate any advice on installing front struts on a 1992 525i.
I know you need to rent a spring compressor, but is there anything else that is difficult or you need to watch out for, such as getting the old (and new) struts in and out of the chassis, other special tools etc. I have a chiltons manual that is supposed to cover my make and model, but there's nothing under struts covering the 525i. I believe that this car is stock and doesn't have any add ons that the auto parts store asked me about when I priced the struts, so hopefully it should be pretty straight ahead.
