RTAB (Rear Trailing Arm Bushings) orientation

I am replacing the RTABs, and ordered these new ones from Bavarian Autosport. They said they're M3 bushings, and are better than the "old" style bushings, but they're not the same, and nobody gave me instructions on which direction to install them. they have a split down the metal on both sides that runs axially (same direction at the bolt that goes through it). Should this "split" be aligned vertically or horizontally!? Anybody else see this?
