Seriously, it's been too long since there was *any* sorta 'big' Southeast meet, regardless of the board (UB, b.f.C. the late SEBOC, whateva!)
Do we have enough folks on here interested in helping setup said meet?
I helped coordinate much of the SEBOC meet last year (coordinated w/ Andretti's speedlab for their lot, drive passes inside, coupons for Fuddruckers, etc) and I wouldn't mind doing some of that - but I wanna see if anyone else has the 'initiative' to pitch in with me, or heck to lead (and I'll just be a follower!) the event? Any Vendors interested in putting up a tent (Last year M3Motorwerks was there and had their tent up and shop cars out!)?
I wanna see long lines of nice bimmers again, I miss all the local meets!!
Feb meet 2004 w/ the local Audi and ferrari guys
June 2004 local meet n mtn drive (leaving the mall for the hills!)
May 2005 at Perimeter mall (the normal weekend meet spot!)
Am game for driving down to ATL if you guys let me know ahead of time so I can ask for some days off, but if am coming I'll stay there for a day or two at least
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.

Your Ride: Nothing .. for now.
Maugans, Chris and I would love to get a meet together. It's been a while like you said .. anyways I'm headed to FL today but I can still run the idea by them both.
How's this: ub.c hosts the meet and we can spread the word across other boards (I'll try to get harry to throw up a single site with signup so all the boards can have the same list). We can try to drag out sponsors as well. I think it'd be hot to have just local non-board members to join as well. People that hrt BMWs but don't have a place to share their obsession.
Things to consider (add your own as well, please) -
What locations do we have? Andrettis, Perimiter .. ?
What Sponsors? M3Motorwerkz .. ?
Dates that could work? Weekend meet I would say. School is starting to let out for everyone though and summer hours are more flexible?
Things I'd like to see at the meet: A drive. Music (get a DJ?) and Food. Giveaways and/or contests (games?). Heavily modded M3s =P.
What I said about local guys joining too, maybe once things get organized I could pass the word along to the BMW dealerships in the area.
Anyways. Post your own ideas and answer the above questions to get the most possibilities. I'll be back tonight to check the updates and hopefuly get things in motion.

It's a holiday weekend and I have 'rents in town, and things goin on so I don't have time to devote to this post - but lets keep this goin.
Andretti's is a good spot, as we can 'officially' get a lot for free from them to use.
Dunno If MMotorwerks would be down for it again, maybe, maybe not? We can always stop by their website and ask (Dunno if any Mwerks guys come here or not).
So we've got me, Karl (Zeit!), Ecian, and Rooz interested to some degree on the pitching in to get it goin deal, lets pull in more 'big meet players', or at least keep our ideas going!
Summer heat is coming on, that could be an issue. If we really wanna do it right, it might take 2-3 months to really get rocking, which could actually put us into late summer early fall (likely better weather, if we're thinking of basing here in the ATL).
I'm biased for the ATL of course - but we do have a lot to offer, especially for folks coming in from out of town that will want to stay a day or 2 (Rooz comes to mind!)
Downtown could be an option - Andretti's is way out on the northside, if we were more centralized downtown somewhere, it could draw a larger crowd (midtown area? someone has to know a parking deck we can get permission to slap some bimmers on top of!
Ok, back to the visiting folks, lets keep this goin'!
I'd hope we could do it sometime on the weekend - I know it's summer, but i don't want to start asking time off work already - I just started working for the Lexus dealer.

ATL sounds cool, got family there. I would like to have it here in FL of course, but the coordination is my issue. Ft. Walton/Destin has some stuff to offer, but not as much as the ATL.
