Reviews System
I'm considering implementing a Product Review system on here (integrated into the forums of course... one login on this site for everything).
What I'm thinking is on the homepage you click to enter the reviews system, and you see categories like "Exhaust", "Intakes", "Wax", etc. Click on a Category and see a listing of reviews like UUC System U, Supersprint E36 Catback, etc. Click on one of them and see the review from the person who started it and people's comment below it. So basically everytime someone gets a new part like exhaust, they can go there and find the existing review and post a reply with their feedback on it... or if the item hasn't been reviewed in the system before, they can add it.
What I'm thinking for this is someone is considering intakes for example, they can hop on here and click on intakes, then browse through every major type and read pages of individual user reviews for each one. See what I'm going for?
What do you guys think?

i think that would be a good idea, i know there are or will be many review type threads and that would be a good way to organize everything

It should organize it and prevent duplicates or users having to search... everything's right there in front of you.

definetly a good idea, it keeps us from answering questions like "whats the difference between ___ and ___", it will make things flow a lot easier

Yeah... keep the "junk" off the board and clean things up more than most forums.

Sounds like a great idea!

just a thought

Hey, not a bad idea at all (see why this community is better with the members having input? lol, the end result works out to be far superior)...
What about like a little check box next to each model/type? Or do you think a general textbox would suffice?

the check box would prob be easier cause someone prob isn't gonna want to sit there and write it all out.
