And also.. the only part U'll see his adds will be in that sub forum. But it will mainly just be a "helping" forum for lighting stuff

This sounds like it could be a great deal to get more people here and to create a partnership with bavtoys, i would be all for it.

For the roundel ad, it might be sweet too.

On a sidenote, i would have to look in my roundels to see but does anyone else know of other forums/BMW sites putting adds in there? I can't remember any, but as I said I would have to check. I mention this cause maybe it would give us a shot at becoming one of their online charter chapters if they decide to start doing that.

Bring them on Harry, they're a good bunch and they're 100% supportive... it would be a great partnership for all parties concerned. Screw the othr forums, this one is #1 for a reason... no bullshit.

sounds like a great idea! i remember back in the day talking to bavtoys (when i was still modding it up) and they told us to talk to them again when we got bigger.. well we are there and they held their word.

I think it will be a great partnership, and if they are going to be on the forum as much as harry says they will it will really help out as we get more and more members.. might take a few weeks or months but in time it will all come together and flow perfectly

Nah, if they make a sale, that's their return for supporting us. It's like the other sponsors, they're here to make sales, however bavtoys is going beyond a normal sponsorship and helping drive traffic to us also.

just remember where your line in the sand is. If you find yourself tempted to redraw it, it may be time to take a step back and look at it from another angle.

It would seem that in this case the sponsorship/partnership isn't going to really change the forum too much and the extra exposure is worth it. Just make sure you have a fallback position if it goes horribly awry.

I just looked through the march issue and only saw an ad for bimmerboad.com
