Hi, wondering if you think a forum specific to performance topics that do not fit in the supercharger/suspension would be beneficial? There are several mods and things out there that boost performance that may not fit the Forced Induction / suspension / brake categories.

Yes, not a bad idea, but then thosae would be model specific...

Have any examples?

And would this overstep onto the model specific forums?

Haven't thought about this quite enough and being new to the scene, but at a glance what about performance chips? currently doing a search on Conforti chips shows results in model specific forums. or in generic bmw discussion. There ought to be other examples as well. But the point is that, these performance mods, like superchargers and turbochargers deserve their own forum rather than being in model specific forums where folks knowledgable about these topics might ignore to read. So my idea was create a generic performance forum to hold topics that don't fit in the existing performance forums that are there.

That's true, but also when a car goes forced induction, it changes a lot of other internals inside the car (braided fuel lines or different oil cooling systems for example). If you start mixing FI and naturally aspirated discussions, people might advise incorrectly, or not read a post correctly and not realize someone has a turbo. FI and NA cars are completely different beasts, so we felt it was best to seperate them for that reason. And since there is far less FI cars, they don't have it broken down to specific models. For example on Subaru forums, a lot of the time they have different model specific forums for turbo'd cars, and a single catch-all forum for naturally aspirated cars, because there's probably more FI subarus than NA (on the enthusiast side anyway).

See what I'm saying? Hum... I'd like to hear some feedback from other people on this however.
