UB down this morning??? - United Bimmer Community

Could anyone else log on this morning? I kept getting the "cannot find server" page. Or was it just my pc?

I... broke it.

It's back now though.

If UB ever goes down and doesn't come back up in a minute or two, call my cell and let me know, because I also have clients on this server, so it's important it stay online all the time. 404.213.8616

Sounds good Harry. It was actually down for a couple of hours this morning. Hope you're clients were not affected. If they were, I'm sure you would have heard it from them.

Yes, if the server is down, it's critical that it get back online as quickly as possible. I keep my cell phone on and with me 24 hours a day for that exact reason.

Good, I wasn't sure how to contact you. I noticed it was down and tested from multiple locations. If you want we can set you up for paging from our monitoring server. we run argus http://argus.tcp4me.com/ it was written by a friend of ours, and by we I mean my webhosting business. I spoke with my partner and he has no objection.

That would actually be very helpful. I've looked into a paging service before, but never taken the time to implement it. What other information do you need to get this setup?

well, I can have it email you and I can do multiple services, if you need to deal with more than one service.

Apache, sendmail, and pop3 are really the only critical services. So 80, 25, and 110?
