Or even newspaper...

Gotta be careful though, don't want to upset any organizations against us.... haha

I think a newspaper or magazine ad is a great idea.

Anyone have any knowledge on that?

Which would be more expensive? An ad in a national newspaper or a magazine ad?

Bimmer maybe? Roundel?

Car and Driver would be awesome too, but the generic automobile magazines would be more expensive I'm sure since the audience is larger.

Advertising in mags is much cheaper but still up there. Not 30k but 1/4 page ads in "majors" could run upwards of $1-3k. Talk to Rondel or BCCA they'ld have some professional ideas.

I'm thinking it wouldn't be more than a few hundred dollars to advertise in Roundel....

That would be a bargain, most majors need 3months "lead time" (IE; submit now to be in by April), need "ad copy" & approval & some want a couple months contract - so shop around. The benefits not only members, but sponsors get exposure - so help from existing wouldn't hurt if they're responsive...(PS a couple hundred won't get you a large classified in a major mag)

Hum, well considering this forum is for BMWs, it might be a waste of money to target all car makes... if we can start off with a 100% potential audience, that'd give us the best response I believe. And also it'd be less expensive as a first trial run.

yeah, true, but a newspaper would target EVERYONE really, but how many will actually check us out, as to where a BMW magazine we'd get more percentage of succes out of it... Decisions, decisions.... lol

Hum, let's brainstorm for a little while longer. If we throw up a vote this early, we limit our ideas. Most people probably haven't even seen this thread yet.
