The ones are back again. Two ones and two twos on mine in a fairly short span.

And I think that I found a picture of Delmarco as someones car entry.

I've had my time in the top 5 and was wondering how to remove my car from the list so someone else can move up?

Haha, no need to step down. If you have a nice car, people will rate you high and you will move up.

And as for the ones, the system is developed in a way where it weighs out "far out" votes like that using a logarithmic algorithm. Basically if you have mostly 8's through 10's and you get a few 1's or 2's, it will weigh the 8s, 9s, and 10s heavier than the 1's and 2's. This is apparent by you getting a couple of low ratings, but still remaining number 3 in the rankings.

actually duduskey, its really bias sometimes, some people have m3s, and just b/c they arent active, they get a low rating, and this one dude has a sweeeet s/c 7, and i dont know what his rating is, but it should def. be in the top 10

komodo, what is the formula for the rating system? i remember it was in a thread and someone suggested it and you used it, but i dont remember the name of the thread or anything, can you tell me the formula?

Yea, it pretty sad and total bulls#!t. Some lame-a$$’s have given a “02” M3 two ones, two twos, and zero tens for a total of 6.43 and a 54 ranking. This rating system is a joke and some don't know a fine ride if it ran over them. It's just a popularity contest between members that post here everyday. I go on leave for a few months and come back to this. What a shame. I should remove my car from the list as well, because we can all see many here don’t vote on the car’s own merits….

I have always voted fair and accurately and don’t skew a vote to gain a higher ranking. Pretty sad an E46 M3 gets disrespected in such a manor. I am not saying the car is best-of-board or even should be top 10, but 54 out of 140 is total BS and those who think it is are not true BMW enthusiasts….

Somehow I almost get the feeling that one of the current thoughts on how to move your car up is by pushing others down.

So how many new "members" show up, vote and never post ?

A suggestion--- No ones ride deserves a Less than Average vote so what if you don't average any vote less than a 5. Let people cast lower votes but don't count them in the average.

there are many of cars here that do not deserve more than a 5. a 5 is average, as in the average. as in 50% should fall below and 50% fall above.
