Haha, I was doing that stuff messing with the forum all evening, so I've been up all night catching up on the work I SHOULD have been doing. :doh It's definately light outside, and I'm not even eyeing my bed yet. :(

screw sleeping. You can do that next month :stick I work on a 24 clock and sleep is an option most times (no pun) :iwave "Time is just a concept". Most times I'm mixing music/editing while posting. (Nice to have access to 4 'puters at one time)

Have you worked with a lot of famous recording artists?

c1apton 12-09-2005 12:19 PM

now don't get goin' "groupie" on me.. I've had my fair share of working with "talent", but most are clients, associates and some have turned into friends because of the work enviornment. To answer your question yes I've worked with/for some pretty "big guns", but they are just like you & me. They walk the same streets, breath the same air, eat the same food as we do.
It's kind of the reason for the screenname. I've worked for EC on numerous occassions but the man is so much more than his guitar abilities. In '01 while on Clapton tour I fell 43ft from the back of PA and broke my back in 3 places. EC was one of first people at hospital, he stayed in contact almost daily through the rehab and he flipped ALL the medical costs out of pocket. He hired me back in '04 for the North American leg and threatened to "kck my ass if he saw me climbing or lifting anything".
It's just another job, just the stakes are a little higher than most :iwave

Hell No! I had a great surgeon and excellant rehab. (9 mos in bed + 18 mos in physical therapy) I have 2 synthetic dics and a cage with 12 screws in my lower back L4-S1 and a 3page letter to show at airport metal detectors. I feel better now than before the accident with "0" restrictions. Made sure the DR kept the "Italian Hinge" in there for the "extra exercise" :iwave
