Motorcycle Discussion Thread

Hey all, just testing the waters here, so hold the flames. I noticed a lot of members mentioning bikes they own, want, or otherwise. This is just a thread where members can discuss their bikes, be it problems, accolades or otherwise.

Let the good times roll.

Allright I have to say that I would really Love a BMW K 1200 S, But 1st I need to learn to ride and its probably too much bike to start off on.

0-60 in 2.8 seconds and 167 hp my god it would be so fast.

Are you talking about a "BMW Motorcycle Discussion" forum, or a "General Motorcycle Discussion" forum?

Hondas actually make really nice bikes... but that's another topic.

I figured on general, because not everyone rides one. They all ride different makes.

I was at the local BMW dealership this morning getting my oil changed, and came across an article on the BMW K 1200 R naked streetbike in an issue of BMW magazine.

Holy crap, what a gorgeous bike.

I like the fact they're changing some of the styling and getting away from the horizontally opposed motor. Something I've never been a fan of personally.

Agreed. It was time BMW got away from the "stodgy" look of thier bikes. My uncle has a 1200 tourer, and the thing has to have 300 pounds of fairing on it. Just imagine...147 horsepower, 847 lbs of wgt., and then lose like 200 lbs by removing the fairings.

*shudder in ecstacy*
