sounds like a good idea, but why did we pick subaru? It's going to basically be people with wrx's, sti's, and 2.5 rs.

Where as something like audi there are a lot more models with enthusiasts, would have a4, tt, a6, a8, and the s models of those, etc.

yeah, but I don't think a lot of people driving foresters, bajas, and outbacks are going to join a forum?

Also how can you forget the SVX.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as xsperf, as it relates to sponsors. Once we have this thing done, we'll be able to have more than just Bimmer sponsors, since we'll all be one happy family. Hey, Harry, are we going to continue to use our server, and the different forums just pay for space, or how's that going to work? I need the geek stuff, man.

We choose Subaru for the first one because david is dedicated the United's ideology, and also has a hand in Subys. He's gonna head up the new chapter.

As for the forums, what I'm thinking is they'd all be the exact same forum, only the tech topics will be hidden based on which forum you're currently viewing. For example if you go to the forums via the ub.c domain, it'll show e36, e46 etc. If you go to the forums via the us.c domain, it'll hide the e36 and such forums, and show the wrx, sti, etc forums. The lounge and all the rest of the subforums will be shown no matter what. Then I'll add another little block for the number of posts in the UnitedBimmer chapter's forums (e36, e46, etc), and the number of posts in the UnitedSubaru chapter's forums. Since it's just a modification of the forums themselves, the memberbase and active users online will be the same on both sites.

umm my mom wants a car with good performance so if she is looking at sti/evo's, 350 z's, a year or 2 old 911's then im not gonna say mom just get a wrx. Don't get me wrong wrx's are nice cars. I think right now a brand new 350Z coupe is the most likely. She hasn't driven manual since I had my old car, so she might want auto, but she said a manual would be nice so still not sure.
