Changes Around Here - United Bimmer Community

Things have gotten out of hand and I'm putting my foot down to ensure we stay moving in a positive direction.

As a part of my house cleaning, the following users have been banned for 7 days, and after that they'll be reviewed if a permanent ban is needed or if they've matured: donald1476, brien4787, spiff, and gotKRAUT. I've also revoked all moderator stats and will spend the next 7 days evaluating who positively contributes the most to the forum and will reassign moderation titles based on what I see. I apologize to witeshark and spieluhr, however I'm sure you'd both agree drastic measures are needed.

We'll see how the next week goes, so let me personally welcome everyone to the new old united bimmer.

i feel that both whiteshark and spieluhr have done a very good job moderating the forums in the past. like you said, it's not their fault.

Set me up for a perm ban, Fuck this forum and all it stands for. I thought i really liked this forum -- but if im not wanted here then so be it i won't return. So whats that, 2 members leave and 4 members banned? yeah the NEW UB sounds good. get ready for the slowest most boring week of all UB. to put it in delmarcos words "Peace out ".

Sometimes a purge is necessary. It really does "out" those who don't give a damn, and then you are left with the decent folks. Good decision, Harry.

Wow, some serious shit went on here huh? I read some of the post and I am not surprised with the actions taken by Harry. Joking around is one thing and we all love to do it, but when it crosses the line into purely offensive, then action needs to be taken. I still love this place, nice work Harry.

while i do not think that someone should be banned forever, i agree suspensions are in order.

i feel those that were suspended are overreacting and throwing tantrums. when they cool down i think you should let them have another chance if they think they can keep their composure over the internet.

of course, my opinion means very little

Yeah, they're like kids who just got in trouble. Right now, they're pissed, they want to run away, rebel, etc. But, like all kids, I think they'll eventually figure it out. This forum is awesome. I really like it here. You go to any forum, and push the envelope of what you're allowed to do, and you're going to get a paper cut, bottom line.
