comeone, all the major datacenters have huge ass diesel generators and like 10 different backbones going to them.
if anything, I bet it would slow down if a few of the major bandwidth peers drop out.

Hopefully, but structural damage is a little more threatening than a power outage... as most of them are prepared to handle.
Either way I'm doing a full server backup on all my servers right now. Just in case.

The company I work for, our HQ is in Houston. They sent out a global email, telling people that they are evacuating, and will be closed Thurs.-Sun., and re-open Mon., barring inclimate weather. I tell you what, if Rita messes with the UB servers, I'm gonna stick it in her eye, kick her in the teeth, and pee in her butt...all in the name of UB.
