United Bimmer Personal File Manager Public Beta!
It's 5am right now, so I've ALMOST pulled an all-nighter working on this for the forum. haha
Notice in the top blue, horizontal nav bar there's now a link called "File Manager". Click on this link to open open the United Bimmer Personal File Manager. It's still in beta because I just finished coding it a few minutes ago and haven't done much testing yet.... but it seems solid. Every member is given a 100MB quota, and the system will allow you to upload any kind of file you want, as long as all your files are under the 100MB mark. Then it tells you how to link to it, etc. Basically it's free hosting for any pictures or small videos on United Bimmer. It's pretty self-explanatory, so try it out. :) Another step closer to being the best BMW forum on the internet. :cheers Also: free email accounts @unitedbimmer.com and free window decals for UnitedBimmer.com are coming soon. Stay tuned. |

I had a suggestion, and here's what it is for everyone to see. Harry will probably be making this minor, but very useful change to the file manager system soon.

Now there's the location line there, so it's a bit easier to include images in a post. For example, if I wanted to put my bunny image in a post, i'd copy that location, open the reply editor, go to the 2nd row, 5th icon from the right (the post picture button) and paste my location in there. Orrr, in the quick reply box, I could just type: [*img]http://files.unitedbimmer.com/ub.c/komodo/bunny.jpg[/img] without the asterisk in img. :rock |
this site keeps getting better and better!!! awesome job!

awsome

Harry, make the ability to create folder in the file manager... I want to host some other stuff, other than my sigs... but I don't want them randomized by the script -- in my sig.
