Definately.

Yep, I don't keep a single penny United Bimmer makes from sponsors or donations. I even opened a seperate account for UB to make sure it's organized. 100% of the money is reinvested into the site. It pays for this high-end server, advertising, events, and stuff. Because of this, make sure whenever you buy something for your car, buy it through our sponsors so they'll stick around and get something out of it for themselves for supporting us.

UPDATE!!

The new server is online! This this is INSANELY fast. Dual processors... 100mbit uplink.... *drool*
I'm currently doing a kernel recompile to optimize everything and add all the security measures I'm picky about (firewall rules and such). I still have to install Apache2 and MySQL50 (latest versions of both) and apply all the patches and such, so give me a day or two and the server will be ready for use. UB will be down for about an hour during the transition, but I'll do it during a slow time and I'll announce it a while before.

YES!!! I love geekness!!! We recently upgraded our Exchange Server at work. The HD's are hot-swappable, so it's just plug them in, the mail system slows down for about an hour while they configure, and off you go. We're sitting on about 1.5TB of mail space now. Also, since right now, we're sitting on two T-1's, which isn't enough for us, since we're a data hub, we're getting a DS3 which is capable of a little under 45 Mbps. Although we'll only be using about half that, it's nice to know it's there, in case the techs ever want to get a network game of Unreal going.

Damn man, I sell T-1's and DS3's. Do you have any pull at your company. I can give them a quote on a DS3.

United Bimmer's connection is going to be over double that (DS3).

Boys and girls, that just shows you how hooked up this site is, with Harry runnin' the show. We now have a faster connection than a main datacenter hub for a major corporation. It almost brings a tear to my eye.

Assuming this all goes according to plan, I might move to the new server tonight. The way I have it setup, there'll only be about 5 minutes of downtime. (The server should never go offline, you'll just see a message saying please wait during the transition period)

I replied to the other new server thread about this. The avatar corruption issue has been resolved, but you might need to clear your temp. internet files to see the fixed versions.
