Expand United
Hey i know this was touched on by harry and i think we moved it or stopped talking about it.. but we are www.unitedbimmer.com but i think it would be great to have a place under bmw tech that is for vw audi porchse etc tech/talk. It would expand our member base, as we could get members from those categories... plus bring up new sponsors if we decide to go that way.... plus we can meet some new people in the lounge if they decide to go there... we will still be united bimmer and a bmw forum at heart..b ut other cars are fun too! i dont want to expand as far as dtm, but yeah, just an idea, think about it
Hum. Unless we made an Umbrella website, UnitedMotorworks/United Customs/United Cars/United Automobiles/United Performance/United World or something, and under it have United Bimmer, United Porsche, United Audi, etc...

that would work... but i dont htink i would like that... i would either not have it, or just have an european car section on our forums... maybe it was a bad idea... just throwing it out there... all i know is i do not want an umbrella site, and i dont want a name change

i think we really need to have an umbrella section for all otehr cars, because look at all teh stuff posted in the lounge about non BMW's ...there's certainly enough there for an area of the forums specifially for updates on all non BMW's

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.
that would work.. but would be as appeling to other drivers that wanted to come and talk...
David
I think the only way we're gonna get non-bmw drivers to join and stay active in a forum is with the umbrella idea. An audi owner won't post on "United Bimmer" daily unless he has some kind of connection to bmws.
Why do we need non bmw drivers on this board? Only for getting more members? Then add a porn section, a windjammer section, an environmental study group section etc..... Just my 2 cents, stick with BMW!

point made we shouldn't be worried about getting new members as much as we should about having a quality site with teh members we do have participating. if our first priority is size we'll end up like all those massive forums that we all came here to avoid...
i'd like to change my vote to a big fat NO on this one
