i like that idea, a forum is never good enough w/o a Photoshop showoff or requests section

Just stick it into 'Geek chat' under the lounge.

Hum, or what about a subforum under Multimedia?

I'm also thinking we should call it something more general than just Photoshop... should be named something like Digital Imaging (suggested in another thread).

About to make a poll... what options do you guys think should be on it?

-Yes, call it Photoshop Forum and put it under General Topics
-Yes, call it Digital Imaging and put it under General Topics
-Yes, call it Photoshop Forum and put it as a subforum under Multimedia
-Yes, call it Digital Imaging and put it as a subforum under Multimedia
-No, we don't really need that forum at all right now.

Any options I missed before making the poll?

I say it should go under the multimedia section, as a digital imaging sub-forum. Harry and I had discussed this briefly via PMs. I love Photoshop, but I don't want to brand the sub-forum. That way people who use MS Paint will not hesitate to make contributions. I suggest the multimedia section is divided, as follows: video/cinema/animations, digital imaging/photography(i.e., more than just pics of your ride)/3-d modeling (unless animated).

sub forum to multimedia would be good, instead of just making a huge list of forums, a subforum would be good.
id say either:
Photoshop
Graphic Design
Digital Imaging
Computer Artwork

one of those 4, but im leaning more towards Graphic Design, because that can move to other things along with editing...even though their would be fewer questions along those lines, its always nice to have the..err..i cant think of the word...but 'ability' to be able to get advice all in 1 forum

Hum, I don't think it should go under Geek chat, because that's part of Off-Topic... and lots of the posts would be 'shopping a car with lowering springs and tint or something... and that's on topic of bmws.

As for dividing the multimedia forum into that many parts, I don't know if that's needed (for example, how many people are going to post 3d renderings in the next year?, haha). A single subforum under the multimedia category would probably be best I feel....

but that's my personal opinion. The final decision comes from what you all want.

Whoever is the mod for multimedia will have to be a mod for that subforum as well. Just the way vBulletin works... there is some uber-high-[insert adjective] workaround that, but bah.
