CEL Fault Code FC - Incorrect Purge Flow

CEL came on with FC (Peak Tool).
Manual says it's "Incorrect Purge Flow".
Does anyone know what that is?
Appreciate any help..

It has to do with emissions. I don't know much about it, except that it's a system (Evaporative Emission Control System) that picks up fuel vapors into a canister. Here's some general info, although not specific to BMW's . . hopefully it can send you in the right direction meanwhile:

Thanks for that Link. Although not for BMW's, but gives insight as to how EVAP works.
By the way where is carbon cannister located in my car.

That's where I can't really help . . Not entirely sure, but I think on later E36's, it was in the spare tire well? Anyone??
