I saw a turbo kit I think its the new TSI (?) kit for 4k ish, I was wondering what kind of numbers a 325 could do?

Looks like you will get some awesome numbers when it is finished!

What kind of car are you turbo charging? About how much is it costing you in parts to do this? Are you reading any books on how to build and install a turbo? have you done this before?

yeah the tsi kit is pretty sweet for a intro kit. my buddy as the tester for it. with only the extra injector setup and no tuning he made 245whp and 240wtq. he is in the process of tuning it for 42Lbs injectors so he should be over 300whp with that.

this is on a 92 non vanos 325.

its an e36 328is. so far i am about $7k usd in parts and it keeps going up with the odd thing here and there.

i have never done this before and spent the last year figuring out how i will do it.

Any reason why you didn't just upgrade the car? I just started kicking around the idea of forced induction in the future. But then, I wonder if I should just buy an E39 M5 in the future because of the cost of S/C or a Turbo in my 540.

because my turbo e36 will be much faster than anything else that bmw makes. i bet it will be quicker than all the new m models (3,5,6). plus insurance is much less. let alone a e39 m5 still costs at least $60,000 cdn for a 2000. plus a e39 is just a different kind of car that would not be fun to drive in the same way my e36 is.
