these 2 look suspect
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dcomcfg.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\atmclk.exe

I don't see where they are starting from though, try killing them with process explorer and dumping them in the recycle bin, or renaming them. it may be tied to a loaded dll that isn't displayed.

also since you are using IE try going to tools, internet options, programs, advanced. and see if anything looks funny. you can disable add-ons from there.

as always post if you have questions.

I also had this problem months ago. All i did was

I run
1) Lavasoft Anti adware program.(Clean all the adware if any)
2) Norton Anti virus.( There's some adware that can't be deleted) So i write them down.Alwasy get an error sign when delete it manually
3) Run spyboard serach and destroy(Just to make sure)
4) Lastly system restore to the earlier date

and find the file that was not deleted by Norton and delete them manually.

It's gone. I hope it's gone forever

Just gotta say: Google is your friend....

I typed the file name that JMS found as malicious (thankyou btw ) into google. It came up as a common problem. Fuckin spammers. I couldn't simply delete the program from my sys32 folder as it was running (obviously). But, google showed me a dell forum... yea, odd... and in there, someone mentioned using a program called Prevx1.... I downloaded it...installed/activated it and damn. This thing took care of my little problem after searching the whole C: drive (took a long time too). So far, so good, no popups no system "warnings" BUT, this program is always updating. Could just be because it's a fresh install and it's building it's database.... what do I know. I'm just glad my computer isn't beeping at me every few seconds.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions.

glad you got it fixed. I still like to do it manually myself, but looks like prvix fixed you up.

It wasn't the beastiality pron that did him in, it was the sea of viruses in the kazaa community. It is kinda like fishing in a bottle of used needles for something to eat. Even if you find what you are looking for you might not want it.

BTW if you are still using kazaa, or bearshare go ahead and slap yourself.

I'm not (if refering to me)... I stopped downloading music (et all) from p2p servers... cept emule... but only once in a while.

I wouldn't of minded doing the deletion myself, but since the virus never turned itself off, I couldn't delete or modify it. At least, not at my level of experience. That program that I downloaded, stopped it... "jailed it" then I was allowed to delete it.

as for kazaa, I was refering to everyone as a whole. it is just a bad scene.

I'm not sure what to think about previx, I hear good things and I hear bad things, some of the bad things I heard was that previx actually creates some of this spyware in order to get you to buy their product. And I don't mean like people say symantec(norton) creates viruses, I mean some of the pop-ups actually take you to the previx homepage. I havn't seen this for certain and I am just repeating gossip but since process explorer can isolate and kill a process and free a file handle, it is just more manual, I really don't need much in the way of anti-spyware.
