either m50 or s50, but probably not untill summer so i have cash. and if i do im selling mine, buying and 88-90 325is with no motor for cheap and spending the rest of the money on like a complete m50 or s50 to drop into it.

to bad you gotta pay someone to do it for ya, thats like 5000 down the drain when you could rebuild the internals of you motor and get real power.

as sweet as an s50 e30 will be it wont be able to touch the turbo 328

doiing your swap is noit going to be cheap. i bet you wont be able to find s50/52's locally for under $3000. but man that would be sweet

how much power do you plan on getting out of this 328 turbo set up . an m3 has 240 hp to the crank thats ruffly 204hp to the rear wheels. so im guessing your running about the same with a turbo and no internal modifications i couldnt see it gaining more than 80-100hp. so im guessing aliitle over 300.

on low boost which will be 7 pounds (or .5 bar) i hope to make around 350 whp. on high boost, prob no more than 14 psi (i only have a 2 bar map sensor), i want to make over 400 whp. how much power i will make will depend on the aggessiveness of the tune. i dont know if you go on bimmerforums at all but there are several guys making over 500whp on stock m52's with low compression head gaskets and arp head studs. on race fuel one of them made 635whp both these guys are running very similar setups to what i will have. m52's love boost and can hold a lot of it because they come stock with a forged crank and a square block design which helps the head gasket seal very well under boost. m52's hold high boost much better than s50's or 52's.

in a straight line i will be very fast, but i know e30's love to be tossed around through the twisties

by time frame i meant when do you plan to do the swap? an s50/52 e30 would be fucking awesome

have you thought at all about doing a turbo e30? i know e30's are way cheaper to turbo than e36's.

either way cant wait to see what kind of monster you create

listen guys, Im gonna try to make it on sunday, if i can get my suspension back together and then you guys can see my E30 with my S50 in it.
Then you can decide which is faster. Ive had my S50 in my 1990 325 IS for two years now and it fast, reliable and predictable when i push it hard. Turbos aren't predictable id go supercharger.
