only if you leech it, drop the watermark if you got it from the site. 99% will never see the watermark. It is a simple script and it lets you get credit if someone else passes it off.

Hum, not a bad idea....

Not bad at all.

The only downside I can see though is either A) twice the size of storage space, with two copies of every wallpapers, with and without the watermark... or B) much, much more intense CPU usage on every wallpaper view because of generating on-the-fly.

Both options hurt.

All right, I've posted this on 9 different automotive forums I frequent, and I've been trying to answer comments from all of them. lol

So far, though suggestions, I've added about 5 categories and tweaked the way tags are handled.

Then someone on a corvette forum completely broke the database through a small exploit, so I've hardened the security on all DB entry points.

It's had over 500 unique visitors in the past hour or two.

Car-wallpapers.net is OUR website. Community driven.

Today alone (the very day of the launch, no prior advertising), we had well over 1,000 unique visitors. Also after day 1 we have over 200 wallpapers, over 300 tags, and almost 1,000 downloads. Not a bad start.

Silly, just do what you are doing now, and if you need to slap the tag on it, generate it on-the-fly using your normal image and a transparent gif logo and spit it out, since you won't be doing much of them it shoudln't hammer the cpu. And the goal is achieved.
