M3 section

How come there is a m3 section? Wouldn't it be better if it were consolidated to each of the chasis code forums? Having one forum for all chasis code m3's doesn't really make sense to me.

Anybody else have an opinion on it? I think it should be removed and just have the discussions in the related chasis code.

Well when we setup the forum our thoughts in doing it like that were the 325i, 328i, etc. are all very similar interally, where the M3 has a decent amount of changes.

However, as with everything else on UB, nothing is set in stone. Let's hear some feedback and debate from others about this, and the administration/staff will follow the outcome.

a lot of the information about the m3's are related to the chasis code they're from. the similarities of an e46 m3 vs. an e36 m3 are pretty small.

but seriously I dont care. I think it makes sence how it is because not many of us have M3's in the first place. One section seems like it would be enough.

Harry, just survey the M3 owners if they feel the need for more space. It's their gig...

But there are maybe 4 active m3 owners on the forum...that poll wouldn't be very effective...

That's my point. There's not very many of them. Just put the forums into the chasis code forums.

You say that the m3 version has little to do with the normal 3 series version. But what do the m3 versions have between themselves? Less than they have between them and the normal 3 series version they're built on.

no, it doesnt. the suspension geometry of an e36 m3 is much closer to a 325 than any other m3 for one.
