btw..did anyone take it for a spin..and by spin i mean around the lot?

Yeah, the sales guy who sold the car did. He brought a bunch of sales people too...so I was left out.

But...being in service. My manager said that I'd get to pick it up and bring it back. Hehehehe.

He traded in his e39 M5, and I've driven that before...along with his e46 M3 Competition Package Convertible SMG. Sooo, I think if I'm here long enough, I'll get to drive it.

btw, that was 1 of 5 e60 M5s to come to our dealership. So I have
more opportunities.

holy hell. You are the luckiest man alive on UB.c.

That interior looks sooo nice. And I would have to say that the color absolutely sucks. A hot car like that needs Black, blue, or red.

We just got our 1st M5 yesterdya, some old 60yr old guy picked it up with his 26yr old girlfriend. Ofcourse nobody got to drive it except the owner because you really think there gona trust some nobody employe off the street to touch that? The word around the shop was that its a 545 with some rims on it, they really dont look that outstanding in person. Its more of a sleeper then anything.

That's what I like: the sleeper factor

If I got an M5, i'd debadge it right away. it should be a no-cost option to remove the fender gills and debadge it. That just ups the sleeper factor even more.

^^ Same here. I am not much for deceitful badging, but I would consider getting a 520d badge for mine.

I'd go for 525xi, myself. I've actually seriously thought about putting 318is badging on an e36 M3 just to mess with ricer's heads.

^^^^thats actually not a bad idea, assuming the rice drivers know the difference between a 318 and an m3.
but it would be funny to fool some bimmer drivers.haha

The M5 that was picked up on fri came in yesterday for its 1500mile tune up. I sort of got assigned to do it even though I havent been to the training class yet. For the 1500 mile service we change, oil/filter, tranny fluid and rear fluid. Since the car is so new we didnt have the special synthetic tranny and rear fluid. We had the 10-60 oil it takes but we didnt have the oil filter. So the guy got nothing done to his car except the free car wash. And I got to pull it out and put it to wash, great, Its not really great but I did get to drive a E60 M5 around the parking lot to put it in wash. And no I didnt floor it, I hardly even broke 2k rpm's.

So the new M5 owner came in today.

He saw that we got the new 550i. So he test drove it and compared it to his car.

I wonder why?
